Palestinian Embroidery - Human Tapestry

A series of paintings on the motif of traditional Palestinian embroidery that conveys the contrast of the disastrous war situations that the Palestinian women are living in with the beautiful, colorful, and distinctive hand-stitching that they used to do. I used the images and patterns of Palestinian embroidery combined with silk-screened text and newspaper imagery pertaining to current events.
